Longbow Apache Block III (AB3)
This technology insertion provides Network-Centric warfare capabilities for the multi-role combat helicopter in the Army's future force. To enable battlespace dominance, the program will incorporate open systems architecture, wideband network communications, extended range sensing, level IV unmanned aerial vehicle control, extended range fire control radar, extended range missiles, and data fusion to merge off- and on-board sensor imagery. In addition, the AB3 will interface with...learn more about this success story

Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) (0.40M)
The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system constitutes the upper tier of a two-tiered defense against tactical ballistic missiles of all types and ranges while in all phases of flight, and provides broad area coverage against threats to military forces and critical assets, such as population centers and industrial resources. THAAD consists of four segments: missile round; launcher; Battle Management/Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (BM/C3I); and radar. This...learn more about this success story

Viable Combat Avionics Initiative Digital Video Recorder (DVR)- Crosscutting Solution (0.05M)
WSTIAC support to Viable Combat Avionics Initiative results in a 2-to-1 cost savings realized as a result of the tremendous improvement leading to overall life cycle cost avoidance.

Naval Air Systems Command Integrated In-Service Reliability Program (IISRP) (0.05M)
WSTIAC provided Naval Air Systems Command with technical and program management expertise to enhance the operational readiness and service life of critical aviation system components. The WSTIAC/IISRP team focuses on two metrics: component time on wing (TOW) and the component beyond capable maintenance (BCM) rate per thousand flight hours.

Open Systems Study (0.05M)
WSTIAC developed a decision model tool called ADAMS for the Capabilities Planning Division of the Aeronautical Systems Center (ASC/XRS). This tool allows a program's key stakeholders and subject matter experts (program manager, Milestone Decision Authority, MAJCOM user, engineers, logisticians, etc.) to pick key criteria, weighting factors, and standards of "goodness" with which various approaches (open, federated, hybrid between open and federated) can be assessed. Evaluating...learn more about this success story

System Operational Effectiveness Decision Support Tool for Marine Corps Systems Command's (CASC) (0.30M)
WSTIAC has deployed a multi-user web-based automated tool, the SOE Decision Support Tool, for the Marine Corps Systems Command's Capability Assessment Support Center (CASC ) which enables consistent and accurate analysis of leading indicators that ultimately affect SOE and weapon system readiness. The SOE Decision Support Tool also allows the Marine Corps to "design for support" of new systems, while simultaneously 'supporting the design" of existing systems to balance...learn more about this success story
